Melancholia

Every now and then the news about the approaching end of the world circulates through the grapevine of our TV-sets. It forces us to say farewell to our family members, to look back on the life we had been living up to this moment. It makes us regret things that we did or did not commit. Usually, there is no Armageddon, we are still alive, we get back to business, we keep on keeping on. But what if there was one particular occasion on which the outcome would be surprising? One of the most breathtaking images with personal and family tragedies in the background form one little Melancholia

On the nature of pictures

*Every Google image belongs to someone and this someone should be noted. However, if pictures are scenes from the film they most probably belong to owners of the film/producers. I use saved screens of the Google compilation of pictures, thus the pictures of pictures, which I take, cut and edit myself (as a derivative use). They are used for reviewing purposes (fair use), not for diminishing the films' profits by stealing what rightly belongs to them. Copyright is tricky, let's get used to it.
