We have crushes on various people. Some traits, either of the character or appearance we find attractive and others don't fit in our scenario for a happy relationship. But is being overly too romantic good for this hard materialistic world and doesn't it lead to way too many broken hearts? On the other hand, can you consciously resign from love on the grounds of money and family acceptance? Can you rationally weigh the pros and cons of your feeling and give up your own happiness for someone else's benefit? Two completely different women and two equally strong love affairs, Jane Austen's heritage: Sense and Sensibility.
We, humans, don't learn by rules. If I tell you not to put your fingers into an electric socket, you'd most likely ask why. They have two holes, if you're bored the best way to spend your time is to stick your fingers there and wait for the result. If you say you're not so stupid as to even try, I'll ask whether you checked or someone told you that you shouldn't do this. How can you be so sure? Maybe the danger is only in theory?
We, humans, learn by stories. Possibly once you heard a story about a boy who was so intrigued by the electric socket that he decided to put there his two fingers and experienced a tragic death. Half of his body was burned from the shock, some pieces of meat from his arms, hands, and calf literally fell apart. He died, of course. But the smell of grilled meat was filling the room for days.
Are you still attracted to the electric socket or will you steer clear of it, always remembering the story about the grilled boy every time you want to play with the tempting device? Would you like to be told a story about a boy who survived on a boat with a tiger? Unbelievable? Possibly, yes. Would you like to learn something about God, religion, friendship, faith, us as humans and discover wisdom which reaches far beyond intellect and reason? Something more than a film, Life of Pi.
Is your family divided between two various concepts of an acceptable lifestyle? Do marriage, tradition, and religion play a big role in major family decisions and celebrations? Have your family members stopped talking to each other due to grudges, prejudices or different political views? It happens to families, and equally, it can divide nations.
There are stories which annoy many. There are taboos which like to be broken by the brave. There are finally films which were loud enough to break rigid and stiff traditions which slowly lost touch with reality. A cowboy: the epitome of strength, fitness, bravery, and manhood. In the lonesome meadows of America, across the grasses surrounded by sheep, there were two: typical studs, representatives of their kind, with the whole world kneeling at their feet. Who would have thought that they could ever fall in love? A love story which not so long before revolutionized the cinema to the extent of being mocked. Still good. Brokeback Mountain.

Sexuality cannot be ignored. A lot of problems with institutions, governments and schools could be solved, or at least attempted at being solved, if we didn't ignore people's basic need. Touch, sexual fulfillment, sexual fantasies are inseparably connected to our love life. The business of sex toys, pornographic materials, and erotic films is flourishing. We circulate between love, drive, attractiveness, fondness, and desire. Sometimes we need to let us forget that we are machines raised by civilization and, apart from the mind, there's also the body which needs to be caressed. This time Asia. Having in mind Japanese love hotels, there are areas where the civilization of computers and digital equipment still loses the battle with the human need for one good act of sexual intercourse. A dive between passion and politics, a clash between weaknesses of heart, and duties. Lust. Caution.
