Brooklyn

How many of us thought about emigration? How many left their families for months and years just to improve the finances in what then seemed to be a hopeless situation? How many felt unbearable homesickness and longing for friends and family? How many saw their parents grow old and how many missed every single national reminder, not suspecting themselves of any traces of patriotism? In life, we make various decisions. Following our heart and dreams, we risk everything to be genuine to ourselves, to live the life we always wanted. This is one story among millions of stories. Personal episodes full of happy endings, losses, and successes. Aren't we all innocents abroad, looking for our place, building our lives from scratch, after one or two failures? Don't we, among the countries available, really look for a home? Brooklyn.

On the nature of pictures

*Every Google image belongs to someone and this someone should be noted. However, if pictures are scenes from the film they most probably belong to owners of the film/producers. I use saved screens of the Google compilation of pictures, thus the pictures of pictures, which I take, cut and edit myself (as a derivative use). They are used for reviewing purposes (fair use), not for diminishing the films' profits by stealing what rightly belongs to them. Copyright is tricky, let's get used to it.
