We are struck by civilizational diseases. Obesity, hypertension, diabetes, heart failure. If you haven't developed any of the above yet give yourself some time. The problem with today's diet is that there's a lot of food available but the quality of it is rather poor. We consume a lot of preservatives, trans fats, fast foods, processed and pre-prepared foods. We enjoy it. They are tasty and calorie-rich. They appease our hunger and make us want to grab the second helping. But the consequences of today's lifestyle can be visible everywhere. People are getting sicker and sicker each day.
