If you are an adult, you probably had this instant realization that your parents are only people. They are not heroes who can protect you from the world, they are not a shield that will help you hide from every difficulty of life, each troubled relationship or your helplessness at work. They don't have all the answers. And they were once young, with their youthful dreams, background history, passions, and mistakes. You were just a blank page, a tiny creature brought to this world with great expectations. Every generation has a story to tell, a story about war or some political conflict, as war tends to pop up now and again throughout the course of our lives, a story about love, as love happens to many of us, whether it's happy or unhappy. Or a story which shows you that there is no ideal story, as there are no ideal people. This is one more beautiful story which makes you a little more considerate as a child, and even more so, as an adult. Twice Born.

On the nature of pictures
