Captain Fantastic

Don't you have a feeling that we got lost somewhere in between the McDonald's burger, coffee machine, Nike shoes and a whole lot of labels? Can't you sense that the meaning of life faded during the fever of commercialization? Aren't we stuck in repetitive jobs, earning money which we spend on unnecessary things, and don't we deprive our lives of freedom, equality, wisdom, and sense? Wouldn't you rather lead a different life where it doesn't matter what clothes you wear, what coffee you drink and what cosmetics you put on your face? Wouldn't you rather choose a life in which education, survival, resourcefulness and the ability of creative thinking win the battle with brand loyalty, customer service and dress code? Why the choice between comfortable life and corporation, and art school and poverty line forces us to be in the wrong place and to fall into the trap of a fake, manufactured destination?
What if there was one big family who outwitted the system and created something unique? Captain Fantastic. Entirely brilliant.

On the nature of pictures

*Every Google image belongs to someone and this someone should be noted. However, if pictures are scenes from the film they most probably belong to owners of the film/producers. I use saved screens of the Google compilation of pictures, thus the pictures of pictures, which I take, cut and edit myself (as a derivative use). They are used for reviewing purposes (fair use), not for diminishing the films' profits by stealing what rightly belongs to them. Copyright is tricky, let's get used to it.
