Shallow Hal/I Feel Pretty

01:41:00

In the cult of fashion and visual culture don't pretend that looks don't matter. You watch these model goddesses on an everyday basis. You buy these magazines with them on the cover. You admire their figure. You envy their face. You wish you'd be able to dress in the smallest size and tempt everyone with your flawless body. And then, the majority of us look at the reflection in the mirror and build a huge low self-esteem. How did we push ourselves into the vicious circle of physical attractiveness? Why the majority of average obsess over the minority of beautiful? Why relationships should not be based on the superficial? And why being besotted with beauty has been our own fault for centuries? A little bit of magic and two important lessons: Shallow Hal and I Feel Pretty.

On the nature of pictures

*Every Google image belongs to someone and this someone should be noted. However, if pictures are scenes from the film they most probably belong to owners of the film/producers. I use saved screens of the Google compilation of pictures, thus the pictures of pictures, which I take, cut and edit myself (as a derivative use). They are used for reviewing purposes (fair use), not for diminishing the films' profits by stealing what rightly belongs to them. Copyright is tricky, let's get used to it.
