To the Bone

It's difficult to have a healthy relationship with food when the tastiest treats are the most unhealthy. If you want to eat what you like the most, you're going to end up in fast food restaurants and binging on chocolate bars and soda. On the other hand, if you switch to clean eating, you might kill yourself from the 'healthy' amount of nutrients. But our relationship with food is far more complicated than that, it ranges from starvation and not eating enough to overeating and using various means to get rid of the excess e.g. vomiting and laxatives. Anorexia, bulimia, mortal obesity, stomach surgeries, fad diets, diet pills: we are the only species in the world which haven't managed our nutrition yet, even though we claim that we are the most intelligent. At times, food or the lack of it can lead you to a simple suicidal path towards death. A story about a complex problem of anorexia and psychological factors which have an influence on a person's life. Teaching empathy, To the Bone.
