Tulip Fever

Usually, when we have bad intentions, the outcome will eventually bite us back. You cannot pretend forever that you are different than in reality. Do you keep appearances just to save the marriage, work or your personal life? Do you hide behind the veil of enthusiasm, desire or interests that are not entirely yours? Temptations lead us to disasters or turn our lives upside down. What would you do if you wanted to keep the romance alive and make your husband awarded for his years of devotion? What would you do if you were an artist but desperately needed money? What would you do if pregnant but abandoned by your lover? In historic Amsterdam, there was a flower bud which theoretically allowed for everything, just as a lottery prize shifted some from rags to riches. But can you pretend forever? Tulip Fever.

On the nature of pictures

*Every Google image belongs to someone and this someone should be noted. However, if pictures are scenes from the film they most probably belong to owners of the film/producers. I use saved screens of the Google compilation of pictures, thus the pictures of pictures, which I take, cut and edit myself (as a derivative use). They are used for reviewing purposes (fair use), not for diminishing the films' profits by stealing what rightly belongs to them. Copyright is tricky, let's get used to it.
